When I get to the end of the cycle (row 7) on pattern #24 I'm very confused... Which strings do i use next? which way do I go? What knots do I use?

It looks like the pattern wasn't created according to recommendations. (making the beginning strings match the strings at the end.)

My suggestion would be to force the strings back into the starting order so you can repeat their pattern.

There may be better ways to do this, and I hope someone with more experience will come to the rescue.

don't force them back! make the knots from the beginning and ignore the different colours! this is the way every such patter works. - if this one had been made so that the end string colours match the beginning colours, the pattern had to be 8 times as long. (i hope my english is not too bad ;)
