knots loose

Hello. I am pretty new to trying "Advanced" bracelet making. I have been making the stripped diagonal bracelets for years. Those seem to come out o.k. but, when I try any horizontal pattern, I have gaps..I try to tie my knots tighter but then knots I have already made seem to slip and show the wrong color. I think I am doing something wrong. Diagonal comes out beautiful, horizontal looks terrible. Any tips? |
