Do you fold the strings of an alpha pattern for a bracelet?
& also how will you know how wide your bracelet will be?
i know you can just count the width and pretty much
understand how wide it will be but is 8 strings the same
as a regular 8 width knot bracelet that you would make
on generator 2?

Yes you can fold the strings on an alpha bracelet the same as a normal bracelet - except for the bacground colour which is just one long strand.

It depends what threads you use and how tight you tie your knots. I think an 8 strand alpha bracelet turns out slightly wider than a normal 8 strand, due to all the knots being in a horizontal row, where a normal 8 strand has 4 knots per row.
