How to organize string better by les_con 11 years ago

So i was just browsing the internet trying to find good ways to organize my thread because I just have this big messy bundle. I came across this website that that showed string wrapped around clothes pins (which are pretty cheap to buy)

here's the webste http://heatherjslife.blogspot.com/2011/08/organizing-embroidery-floss.html

I'm pretty excited to try this myself. I hope it helps someone else too!

You can also cut pieces of cardboard and wrap your string around it. Make a slice in the cardboard to secure the ends in.

I separate all of my different colors into little ziplock bags and keep them together in a box. It's not the most organized but it lets me see when one of my colors is running out.

I went to Michael's a few weeks ago and got a clear organizer box and it is REALLY helpful! I recommend it to all bracelet makers.

I bought one of these at Harbor Frieight for 12$
but now I just found http://www.harborfreight.com/multi-compartment-utility-box-40528.html for 10$ and it's got more compartment boxes. Want so much, ;-;

The drawers are nice and I can sort my string by brand. I make my own bobbins from cardstock and the top bit is good for storing anything else I use for knotting.
