I'm thinking of making my daughter a bag but I feel like using embroidery thread would take a whole load of thread and be pretty stiff. Does anyone use wool / yarn to knot and if so what type? I don't like it when wool goes 'fuzzy' so is there a better type to use?

I mainly use mercerized cotton crochet yarn for my bags. I tried thin acrylic yarn and didn?t like that at all, it gets fuzzy very easily. But I also made a bag with pretty thick acrylic yarn, and that worked very well. It?s a little bit fuzzy, but it didn?t bother me.
Mercerized cotton is still my favorite though.
