How do you stop them from going wiggly? by PoisonPurple 5 years ago

How do you stop your bracelets from going wiggly when you're making them? I've recently been using pattern #20392 and I've made 3 of them. No matter what I've tried so far, they always come out curvy. It looks kind of cool, but how do I make it stop?

It may be a problem of tension in your knots :) maybe they are too tighten or too loose. Keep on making bracelet to correct this, and your bracelets will stop curving ! :D
For some patterns, it is very difficult to keep the edges straight and to prevent the bracelet from curving, and there is sometimes not much you can do.
It would be easier given you advices if you post a few pictures of he bracelets you?ve done so far!
Hope it helped

This patterns seems to alternate between sections with a lot of forward knots and sections with a lot of backward knots. When all (or most) of the knots go in the same direction, it is easy for the bracelet to start curving in that direction. And then curve back the other way when the knots reverse.

The extreme example of this is the candy-stripe pattern [URL=https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/pattern.php?id=1]#1[/URL with all knots going the same way.
