I just tried making a pattern, and I ended up uploading it because who knows, there might be someone else out there who'd want to make it. So I made it in the generator and pressed save, and I know it needs to get approved now. But how can I add keywords or a description for the pattern so people know what it is supposed to be?

I believe the keywords are added by the person approving the pattern but if you see certain keywords are missing you can always ask for them to be added.

That’s right :-) For alphas you need to add keywords before saving, for other patterns the moderators will add keywords. That will change soon though.
