| This is Katniss' pin from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The gold pin has a mockingjay on it, a bird that is a crossbreed between a mockingbird and a jabberjay, a muttation from the Capitol that could memorize entire conversations and replay them. The mockingjay cannot memorize conversations, but it can memorize complicated tunes. I just wanted to explain what exactly a mockingjay is, even though if you want to make this pattern, you have probably already read the books and therefore know what it is. :) | |
