Hello, my name is "Suri" and I'm from Canada (still live there too.) I have many obsessions (especially hoop-dancing, and I am not speaking of the Native American kind) of which bracelet-making is only one. I first picked it up probably around the age of 12 from an older cousin, borrowed his book which contained the basics and went from there. For a time I never really progressed far, would lose interest and then return a few years later, though each time I seemed to become a little bit better.
The latest bout of my bracelet obsession has been going on for almost a year now and I finally seem to have picked up the "knack" for it -- instructional patterns in styles like the ones on this site are much more helpful to me than a verbal list of things to do. So thank you very much to this site! Now I find myself designing patterns on grid paper, making bracelets on the bus/public transit, and so forth. I move in plenty of alternative/hippy/music circles and have started to become a living advertisement for my work, selling or trading bracelets to others. This summer's music festivals should be a great opportunity. :)

I am 24 years young, mother of two cats, live with my current Significant Other, enjoy almost any type of music, been hooping for almost two years (and am getting into performing with it this year,) and I have a tendency to talk too much/openly. Go me!
