Hi everybody!
I'm Kat, 37, married to the one and only "thematt711" (who got me started knotting) mother to 2 awesome boys and one that had to leave this world much too early. we currently live in Germany. I'm more of a on-the-go knotter. where my husband is the innovative madness with a stationary set-up and dares to take on big challenging pieces, I string to a clipboard and knot on the playground, in the bus, in front of the pc... I also have a lot of fun taking pictures of our work, finding decorations to go with the theme and learning about the editing process.
I also enjoy other visual arts, I draw and paint as well as airbrush (at least I used to a lot more than nowadays...) and love to craft for fun, mostly recycle and upcycle art, which means with things I find around the house :D they are my "moments of zen" when the world around me gets lound and hectic.
I haven't been knotting much since starting a full-time job, but constantly amazed with the creations Matt dedicates his time to, and love checking out the progress on this site!
I love lots of different types of music, movies, books and british telly - especially Doctor Who (notice the Tom Baker style alpha as the scarf on my profile picture wooden mannequin?)
I'm also looking forward to getting into some new styles of crafting and combining some of the techniques I aquired from all of them.
