I'm not quite sure I'm reading the bracelet patterns correctly.

Is it: Do all the knots stated on the first horizontal row and move on to the second one?

I learned how to do pattern 1 from a friend, not here; and the way my friend taught me is different than what is stated on the pattern.

Please help!

the straight arrows indicate the string moves the way the arrow is pointed, the bent arrows tell you that which way the string is supposed to go, mainly back to its original position.

i just recently learned this. :)
