Hi, I'm going to make a bracelet for my wristwatch and I can't decide which pattern would be the best for it. Do you have some interesting ideas?

How wide does the pattern have to be?
I mean, you can't make a 8 string bracelet or one with 30 strings if it has to be exactly around 1cm wide

I've made one for my watch once, must have been 8 years or so ago. The bracelet was a little too small so that the little metal things which hold the bracelet got lose about twice a week.
