well i tried to burn the ends down on the dmc floss like i do with yarn to make the hard ends, and it doesnt work.. it just makes it black and i lose floss.. any tips on what to do?

i braid the ends and then i tie a knot at the end of the braided parts :)

Maybe you could put some glue on the end. I don't know if it works.
