Has anyone used DMC's Pearl Cotton skeins? They have them at Michaels and look like a large twist of thread. It seems to be thinner than the 6-strand DMC cross-stitch floss. Just wondering if it's easier or harder to work with and if it will make the bracelets narrower. I found an older post that stated the bracelets were wider, but that didn't make sense to me (assuming you use one piece of thread instead of 2 together).

I've used pearl in the past and I don't see much difference in size only in the appearance.
Like everything else it has pro's and con's but for that extra shine it looks good. I've used it on some of the bracelets I have on here. I'm fussy on the colours of pearl dmc's though. I think the brighter colour looks better than the pastel colours. In a way it's easier to knot because it is smooth but equally i find sometimes depending on the pattern you have to be extra careful as you can see loose knots more easily than say with normal stranded cotton.
