Does anyone have any tips for protecting the color on friendship bracelets? Maybe a solution I can soak it in or something. I don't want it to be stiff when it's dry but I want the colors to stay fresh and clean looking after a lot of use and wear.

I don't know on this, maybe try Scotchguard. I have problems with fading, too. Is the water chlorinated? That will definitrly cause almost immediate faing, but lakes or the ocean maybe not so much. Good luck. |

Sorry. I meant definitely. And somehow I'd thought you'd said something about water, which may have been confusing. Oops =) |

Try Kiwi Camp Dry Spray - It's a heavy duty water & stain repellent that you can use on just about any kind of fabric or leather. Most people use it on tents, shoes, or jackets. I would suggest trying it on a test bracelet first but that might work. I've never used it on a bracelet but i did see someone use it to protect their cross stitch project. Good luck, hope it works! |
