Quite a complicated work,have you ever tried using a program for pixelating it,or putting a grid on it?it would help you

Well you can add on top of it using a photoshop program,or you simply print the grid paper that the site gives,and then print over it again

Oh now that came up in my mind.In another forum post i've heard of an app called fun effects.That can let you snap pixelated photos.That would be helpful

I think what you need is probably something with an inbuilt R.I.P., (not rest in peace but a raster image processor.) Myself, I'm a big fan of this Swedish PhotoPearls Programme, which I've found a great help for designing nonograms.
