Polymer Clay Ends by corieltauvus 10 years ago

I sometimes use Sculpey or similar to make findings directly onto the end of a braid. Most cord material seems to take the temperatures (130?C - 275?F for 15 mins per 6 mm)
Pins, rings and clasps can be molded in as long as the buried parts are bent to resist pulling out. One cool thing is that the end piece can be any colour you choose and can be filed, polished and lacquered after baking. Just be careful of plastic beads . . . they can't handle the heat.
