i made a pattern and accidently chose two different colors (they are very similar but not the same) so the pattern "ID" say i have more colors than i intended... any one know if it is possible to edit the color selection?

Only moderators can do that. I've changed it now. We always check patterns first, so we would probably have fixed it anyway, but using the 'report'- button (like you did) is indeed the right way :-)
