My pattern (alpha) has been pending for days... is that normal? Sry if I'm wasting your time, mods :/

Also, the day after I generated the first one I made another and it didn't work there was a message saying,
There was a problem uploading this pattern
Please let the administrator know

Yes, that's normal. Patterns are sometimes pending for up to a few weeks, depending on how much time we, the moderators, have available. And we have quite a lot of patterns to check too. We are all just volunteers ;-)
