How do I strand the larger disk? I haven't been able to find the right spacing/placement that doesn't throw my pattern off

Thank you!

Just make sure the right pairs of string are opposite to each other, and start with the right pairs. (The top and the bottom pairs.) That’s the only thing that matters.

I did some math here, that you can check out, but you really don't need to do the math: https://friendship-bracelets.net/forum/thread/79973

If you want, I can do the math for your amount of strings too.

I'd just try to place the first pair opposite from each other, then I'd place the pairs that are half way between them and then I'd just go from there.

Here is the formula you could use to calculate the average size of the gaps, just put your numbers in:

Average gap size = amount of empty slots : amount of gaps
Average gap size = ( amount of slots - amount of strings ) : (amount of strings : 2)

Here is the calculation for your numbers
Average gap size = ( 64 - 28 ) : ( 28 : 2)
Average gap size = 36 : 14
This is about 2,57

You can for example achieve this by having the gaps be the following size with the first 7 pairs as an example:
2 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3

You can of course have these gaps in another order.

Other numbers would be possible too.
