Just wanted to let you know that I won't be around here too much in the next two or three weeks, because I've so many things to deal with for my two new jobs and my literature. All at once (of course, it's always like this...) Keep your fingers crossed for me on saturday (I'll need every single of them given that I'm participating in a competition for poetry ;)

Hey guys, figured I'd put this update on what's happening here.

I officially became Anthony Connolly yesterday. Couple that with a mountain of paperwork, needing to see my doctor yesterday, my parents having found out on Thursday (mum actually isn't talking to me right now), and a rash that keeps developing that is probably down to stress, and you've got the state of affairs right now.

I am about, but I'm not able to get to a PC all that often because I'm not at home, and I don't like moderating from my phone. I know it's no real excuse, but I wanted to apologise and still let you all know that I'm still lurking. And that I kinda wish this year was over already XD

Hey! - Take your time and give your mom some as well, she'll get used to it :) - And I love the name Anthony by the way! - Nice to have a guy in the team, too ;)

:p thank you! But patience never was a virtue of mine, lol, and I don't see that ever changing.

There's still a lot to get done. The referral to the gender dysphoria clinic is now done too as of Monday, so that's out of the way as well. My parents may not like it, but I think at least they realise they don't have a choice in the matter at all. Plus that it isn't up for discussion. I think that's the bit my mother hates most - she has absolutely no control over any of it. About time too, as far as I'm concerned.

As to the name Anthony - I was christened Elizabeth, but I'd been Antonia and Toni for so long I didn't feel the need to be completely contrary and go for something like Oisin, or Seamus, or Ciaran lol. Anthony was going to be juuuuust fine!

Seamus Heaney, lol :) - Great poet by the way... but I think Anthony is a really nice name, or Antonio - I also love the spanish version :) - Yeah, I can imagine mothers running crazy, because most of the time they have an image in mind of who you are or how you're supposed to be, but that might differ in most of the cases from who you really are... But maybe she's only afraid, that you didn't take the right decision or something, because the transition will obviously have (hopefully only positive!) effects on your life:) When she's sees that you're fine with it, she'll get used to it as well, I'm sure!

I'll just give you the short version because I can't really concentrate properly. my dad's in hospital with cancer, and since monday they've stopped all therapy and are only doing pain management. my mum and big sis are arriving tomorrow from australia, and I've been spending most mornings and evenings at the hospital. if I do drop by from time to time to do some modding it's just to take my mind of things, but really I'm not around much at all.

oh no, Foz. - that is sad... not too much words here, but feel really hugged!
